Had a great time at Warner. Chalet was a basic and warm. Don’t go to do a changing homes episode. It was clean and functional. Entertainment all ok and team friendly. Food was excellent. Huge choice all hot at both breakfast and evening meal. If there was slight wait.....who cares. We are looking at out next visit. Well done lakeside.
Received a warm welcome at reception and were shown our dining table ( for the whole stay ). We were pleased to find we'd been allocated a comfortable, nicely presented room with en suite in a single storey block. The tea/coffee & biscuits in our room went down well after unpacking and we studied the leaflet listing meal times, opening hours for the shop, swimming pool etc. and all events & activities available to us over the coming days. We then took a stroll around the site which boasts a lake with swans and numerous ducks on it. We also liked the newly planted Spring flowers.
We chose a meal from the Carvery the first night but sadly it was barely warm. We weren't keen to see the live act that night so opted for the film instead & thoroughly enjoyed it. We enjoyed the live acts on the other 3 evenings ( a singer, a comedian and a show put on by staff ) We also enjoyed the meals after that first hiccup.
We only left the site once during our stay to go along the south coast of the island and stroll on the beach. We joined others in doing Quizzes each day and were introduced to Ladder Golf, Table Bowls & Fun Darts which were not too energetic ( my husband was recovering from surgery so Dancing, Gym, Table tennis etc. were a No, No ).
All in all it was a nice, relaxing break in pleasant surroundings with plenty to do when we wanted to - and no cooking or washing-up.
I took my elderly mother for a long weekend and we had a lovely time. We had one of the newly refurbished chalets, which had some nice touches and parking outside the door. Well done to Tina for keeping it clean. We were asked if we would like to share a table in the restaurant and enjoyed the company of a lovely couple. The food was plentiful and mostly served from a buffet. The restaurant staff all worked really hard. The entertainment staff also worked hard and we loved Will`s singing in the Piano Bar. There were activities throughout the day and the ground staff worked hard to keep the Village looking lovely. We would return.
