Lakeside Coastal Village has charming chalets set besides the coast on the small but beautiful Hayling Island in Hampshire. With a real home from home feel about the place and situated by the sea with great views.
Lakeside has a fishing lake also nightly entertainment and dining, as well as activities like pitch and putt, archery and indoor bowls.
We have been to
Lakeside before but we had different accommodation this time in a harbour suite. The suite was really nice very spacious and well equipped. It did say on the website milk would be topped up but it didn’t! Also said about a pillow menu we could not find one.
The site itself is really nice and flat for those with mobility issues it’s great. We were allocated a nice table for our meals but they are very close to other tables and not very private but you do meet other people. The staff serving were as always really good and friendly.
We do have to have a moan about the bowling as they always seem to
Book bowling holidays and therefore the courts are hard to Book! There was also no one running the bowling this time and it was volunteers they told us but they were very miserable indeed and non helpful!! It should have been manned by a Warner’s staff member. This happens each time we go to Warner’s . So be warned if you are going and want to bowl get in quickly. The other BUGG bear we have is you can never book archery or rifles as people who are there longer than you get in and it’s always full up. It only seems to Run certain times of the day which is a shame as they could run more!
There are other activities you can do
And try and they are fun. The entertainment was really good as always and the entertainment staff are always doing something to entertain. Another gripe is they shut the food off at 3-30 which is ridiculous as you may want a bite to Eat but no chance! They should really consider changing this. Also only one day did they run the buy one get one free on cocktails they would have made loads more if they did this more often!
All in all a good few days away but we feel some changes need to Be made. We have booked again for next year so it’s worth a visit
