6 friends spent the weekend here to celebrate a 60th birthday. The chalets were small but spotless with beautiful bathrooms. If you want to do activities, there are plenty to do. We booked the afternoon tea as a treat for the birthday girl. It was great, really fresh with prosecco and tea and coffee. The entertainment was really good. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We would like to give a special mention to our waitress, Beth, who was so friendly and great at her job and to the chefs, Ash and Florin, who worked so hard without getting stressed. The food was brilliant with so much choice and something for everyone. We didn't know what to expect and we all had a brilliant weekend. Thank you.
My husband and I stayed in a Bay cottage for a Friday to Monday break. The accommodation had a living room, bedroom and bathroom. Rooms were compact with just enough room but the bedroom lacked any real storage space except for an open hanging space and two drawers in one bedside cabinet. The bed was small and uncomfortable so I asked for another mattress topper which was sorted very quickly. The accommodation comes with its own parking space. The grounds are always very pretty with an abundance of flowers in the main square. We played pitch and putt, walked around the lake and fed the ducks and swans. The food was very good with plenty of choice although each day they ran out of bananas and Danish pastries. One thing let down breakfast which was you had to queue for the main items and there was a separate queue for poached eggs, omelettes, pancakes and specials. Whichever way you did it some of your food would get cold. The entertainment was ok, the staff are always helpful and friendly and the accommodation always kept clean. We enjoyed our weekend here.
